I recently stayed at Óbal Urban Hotel, and it was such a great choice. It’s in the heart of Marbella, a short walk from the picturesque Plaza de los Naranjos and the beach.
The rooms are fully equipped, spacious and beautifully decorated. The king-size beds are huge, and I really like the size of the wardrobe and bathroom. I mean, the rainfall shower is always a plus.
Additionally, if you care about travelling sustainably and you try to opt for eco-friendly hotels, sustainability is another reason to pick this hotel.
It can’t be compared to a resort holiday, which has more facilities and services, but it’s perfect for a romantic getaway to Marbella.
I personally think it’s well-priced for all it has to offer and its location.
On top of this, I must mention the Alameda Restaurant because the food my partner and I had there was delicious.
We didn’t try the breakfast, but apparently, they have good options.

The hotel was opened a few years ago, and its contemporary design and vibe make it a lovely boutique hotel to stay in.
Linda Boutique Hotel has 11 beautifully decorated rooms and is well-equipped with comfortable beds, an ensuite bathroom with complimentary toiletries, a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, which is a must in the summer months.
Although there are plenty of places to have breakfast nearby, like Mia Cafe, if you fancy having a relaxing start to the day, you can go to the hotel cafe, Linda’s Lobby Café, and have a continental breakfast. But they also offer all-day brunch and small bites too.
The hotel is perfect for couples but has larger rooms for families, too.
One of the highlights of staying in this hotel is its incredible location, but that’s not all; if you like getting a birds-eye view, you’ll love their rooftop terrace, which is perfect for having a drink while enjoying the music and the views of Marbella Old Town.

I can’t forget to mention their Rock Spa! My partner and I got a spa day voucher, which included a one-hour spa circuit and two glasses of cava. Although it’s a small spa, we enjoyed the experience. The staff was very friendly, and there weren’t many people around, which was a bonus.

In terms of facilities, it includes two outdoor swimming pools (one for kids and one for adults), a spa and wellness centre, and a buffet restaurant. On top of this, if you love golf, there’s a golf course only 180 metres from the hotel.
Some highlights of staying at Barceló Marbella are the incredible hotel facilities, the lovely mountain views and green surroundings, and the tranquil atmosphere.
The major downside is that due to its location, you’ll definitely need a car to move around Marbella.

If I had to choose only one, Óbal Urban Hotel in the old town would be my choice. The old town of Marbella is the best place to stay in Marbella for sightseeing, beaches and food. Apart from the excellent location, the rooms are lovely, and the rooftop terrace offers great cocktails and views.
