4 Fun Water Parks in Costa del Sol For All Ages
Growing up in Malaga, I’ve visited all the water parks in Costa del Sol. I remember those days visiting the water parks with my family. They were so much fun!
Luckily, all of these water parks have been renovated, and more fun attractions have been added. However, the essence is the same.
Although water parks attract mostly families, they aren’t only for children. Adults can enjoy them too. Many of us are kids at heart.
You’ll probably only visit one during your holiday. In that case, I recommend Aqualand for its attractions and location, but I go into more detail below.
However, it’s good to know all your options before making a decision, and I’m sharing everything you need to know about water parks in Costa del Sol in this post.

Best Water Parks in Costa del Sol
1. Aqualand
Aqualand is the biggest water park in Costa del Sol. Located in the town of Torremolinos, it’s also the most popular option.
Why Aqualand over other parks? First, it has the most attractions. Whether you want to be brave and go down a 22-metre slide (the highest in Europe) or relax in the jacuzzi, you can do it here.
My favourite attraction is the crazy rivers! You can go on a single or double float while making your way down through small waterfalls. It’s a lot of fun.
The scariest has to be the Boomerang. You’ll probably have to queue at the bottom of the stairs.
Well, halfway through waiting, I started wondering why I agreed to go to this attraction. Anyway, I went on it and believe me, it felt like we were going to go off the slides.
If you visit Aqualand with kids, there’s a big water playground with small slides for the little ones to enjoy. The wave pool is also a family favourite!
Aqualand also has a restaurant serving kids’ favourites and an ice cream stall. Other services include sunbed rental (€5) and lockers to keep your belongings safe.
Overall, it’s a great water park, but it’s a shame they’ve raised the entry price significantly over the years.
Also, it gets pretty busy during peak season, so if you don’t like queuing or crowds, you might want to check out other water parks that are less popular. However, if you love a water park, I still think it’s worth it.
📍 Location: C. Cuba, 10, 29620 Torremolinos, Málaga, Spain
🎫 Price: 36 euros per adult, 28 euros per child between 5 and 10 years, 14,50 euros per toddler (aged between 3 and 4 years). My advice is to book tickets online as they’re slightly cheaper.
📅 Open: May to October
2. AquaMijas

If you’re staying in Fuengirola or its surroundings and you fancy going to the water park, AquaMijas is the closest.
This water park is smaller than Aqualand and Aquavelis but has some good attractions and will especially keep kids entertained.
Its wave pool is quite big, and then you find slides, tubes, and a spacious toddler area. You’ll find height restrictions on attractions for kids, but lifeguards are very attentive and will direct kids to other suitable attractions if necessary.
AquaMijas has a self-service restaurant serving anything from salads to pizza and fish and chips. However, if you’re vegetarian or have an intolerance, they have a few alternatives. You can also find kiosks selling juices, ice cream, and waffles.
Other services include sunbed rental for 6 euros and lockers for 5 euros.
The downside is that this water park feels more for kids than adults, and prices aren’t particularly low, so if you want to save some money, consider going at 2:30 pm, when they offer discounted tickets.
📍 Location: Autovía del Mediterráneo, Km. 1016, 29651 Las Lagunas de Mijas, Málaga, Spain
🎫 Price: General entry: 29,90 or 28,50 euros when you buy online.
Kid prices depend on the age, but online tickets start from 16,50 euros.
📅 Open: end of April to mid-September
3. Aquavelis
Aquavelis is probably the least-known water park on this list, but it’s also a good option.
If you’re staying on the east side of Costa del Sol (Rincón de la Victoria, Torre del Mar or Nerja), go to this one as it’s closest and has similar attractions to other water parks anyway.
So what can you find? Two areas for children: the Aqua Splash, which is the pool and slides for kids under 10, and the “Zona Mini” for kids under 8.
For teens and adults, you can find everyone’s favourite: the Quick River, the Kamikaze (an 80m slide), and more relaxing areas such as the jacuzzi and spa.
Regarding food, there are two restaurants serving hot dogs, burgers and pizza, an ice cream kiosk and a coffee shop.
Sunbeds and lockers are also available at an extra cost.
📍 Location: C. Ruta del Pomelo, s/n, 29740 Vélez-Málaga, Málaga, Spain
🎫 Price: Online adult tickets start from 26,50 euros, and children’s tickets depend on their height.
📅 Open: 15th of June to mid-September.
4. Costa Water Park

Costa Water Park isn’t a regular water park. It consists of an inflatable water park in the sea.
There are three across Costa del Sol: Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Puerto Banus (Marbella).
This isn’t a waterpark for all ages because some involve swimming off the shore. Before heading to the inflatable water park, you must wear a life jacket provided for safety.
It’s fun because you can go on the slides and jump on the trampolines and the sea when you get too warm.
The aquatic waterpark is monitored all the time, so you don’t need to worry about anything.
I went to the one in Benalmadena a few years ago, and it was fun for an hour, but I wouldn’t pay for a day pass.
📍 Location: different locations across Costa del Sol
🎫 Price: 15 euros per hour or a 30 euros day pass
📅 Open: June to mid-September from 11 am to 8 pm

Tips for visiting these water parks
Here are some of my top tips for visiting the water parks mentioned above.
- Pack your own food. You can’t bring in glass containers or any glass, but otherwise it’s okay to take food from outside. There are designated areas for picnics. All the waterparks have restaurants or food stalls, but I don’t recommend buying from them. First, it’s expensive, and second, it isn’t worth the money. The food quality isn’t the best, and the options aren’t healthy (a.k.a. hot dogs and burgers).
- Don’t visit them on a weekend. If you go during the peak season (July and August), water parks will be busy any day, but weekends, and especially Sundays when many locals don’t work, are even worse.
- Rent a float. It’s extra money out of your pocket, but it will significantly reduce the wait time for attractions that require one.
- Get discounted tickets. If you happen to visit the local supermarket, they sometimes have leaflets from water parks that include a small discount. Some also offer reduced-price tickets if you visit it a few hours before closing time.
Conclusion on water parks in Costa del Sol
Malaga is surrounded by three water parks with plenty of attractions to have a fun day with your friends or family.
My preferred choice is Aqualand because I’ve visited it the most, and I feel it has more attractions. However, you might want to choose the other two if they’re closer to you.
