Tinggly Review (2026): Gifting Unforgettable Experiences
Whether it’s a birthday, Valentine’s Day or any other special occasion worth celebrating, I always prefer experiences over things, and this also applies to many people.
Instead of spending money on a gift they might never use, you’d do better getting them an experience box in which they can pick a unique activity according to their interests—something they will definitely remember.
If you’re here, you’re probably looking into getting an experience with Tinggly and have questions like What is it like? What types of experiences do they offer? How does it work?
Well, I’ve got you covered! I’ve compiled all the information you need to know about Tinggly and my experience with them.
I recently decided to go on a wine tour in my hometown for the first time with Tinggly, and I was really happy with the experience. I’ll tell you more about it below.

My experience was sponsored by Tinggly and also contains affiliate links. If you click through and purchase something, I receive a small commission on the price at no extra cost to you. This helps me keep the content up to date and make other improvements to the blog.
About Tinggly

Is this the first time you’ve come across Tinggly? It’s a gifting company that makes gifting very easy. You can pick a theme associated with a collection of activities. For example, you can pick gift boxes like “Happy Birthday,” “Bucketlist,” or “Happily Ever After.”
The person who receives the Tinggly gift box can choose from a wide selection of activities, experiences or hotels. They now offer more than 100,000 experiences worldwide. Some gift boxes, like the European getaway, allow you to choose hotels. There are also over 150,000 hotel stays.
I love that Tinggly’s mission aligns with mine by changing the culture of gifting material things to unforgettable experiences.
At the same time, Tinggly cares about our planet by planting one or more trees with every gift collection purchased. The company has already planted 334,330 trees since 2022. Moreover, all CO2 emissions of any experience are offset by 200%. You can read more information here.
How do you purchase a Tinggly experience box?

Purchasing a Tinggly experience is straightforward, but here is what you can expect.
Go to Tinggly’s website, and on their main menu at the top of the page, you’ll find the following categories: locations, gift boxes, categories, occasions, etc.
Let’s say you want the experience to take place in Europe, then select locations > Europe > your chosen country. It’ll show you all the experiences in that country, which you can filter on the left-hand side by price, ratings and categories.
Another example is that if you want to impress your other half, you can select recipient > gift for couples or gifts for him or her.
Once you’ve decided on the gift box, click on “add to cart”. Before you proceed, you can check the experience choices included, which I always find super helpful to make me decide if it’s the right box for me or someone else.
You can select packaging in the shopping cart. There are two options: an eVoucher (free) or an Eco-friendly gift box (approx 7.96 GBP).
If I’m buying this for myself or last minute, I often pick the eVoucher, but if it’s for someone else, I pick the gift box, which is usually delivered between 2 and 5 business days.
Add your details and make the payment. There are plenty of payment options, including Stripe and PayPal.
How many people can engage in the Tinggly experience?
Each gift box clearly states how many people are covered for the experience. However, the gift collections can be done by up to 5. This allows a group of friends or family to participate in the same activity.
When do you need to redeem your gift?

There’s no expiration date to redeem your experience. I love this, as if you’re too busy or let’s say you get an experience you want to do in another country and can’t travel at this time, you have the peace of mind that it won’t expire, and you don’t need to rush to book it.
What happens if the experience isn’t available?
This actually happened to me. I wanted to do an olive oil, wine, and tapa experience, but the partner company reached out to say they needed to cancel because they don’t offer this activity during the summer months due to the heat. Therefore, I was given store credits to pick a different activity.

My Tinggly review
As I mentioned in the introduction of this article, I recently took a wine and tapas tour with Tinggly in my hometown, Malaga.
By the way, this isn’t my first time taking a Tinggly experience. A few years ago, I got a European getaway for two to Santander, Spain, so I feel comfortable recommending the company to you and other travellers.
The hotel selection included in the gift box was great, and booking it was effortless.
But I’m going to focus on the latest experience!
The gift box was delivered in two days, and I was really impressed by how quickly it arrived.
I was very excited about the experience because I hadn’t been on a wine tour despite being a local. Many locals don’t do this type of tour; they enjoy a glass of Malaga wine at a restaurant and take wine tours in other locations where they know nothing about the wine.
The tour company immediately sent me the meeting point and other instructions before the tour, which is always a good sign.
The day of the tour was so much fun and exceeded my expectations. First, I love the fact that Tinggly partners with smaller businesses. In this case, I visited a very small winery run by a family and 12 workers.
I also liked that we were a small group, making it easier for me to talk to others because I went alone on this occasion.
It was special because when you book a wine tour elsewhere, you usually go to bigger wineries and with bigger groups.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. I finally got to learn about the wine history in my hometown and its surroundings. She told us many facts, but did it in a fun and engaging way during our trip from Malaga city centre to the vineyard.

We visited the vineyard, where Antonio, the owner, grows the grapes, and tried one of his wines.
Then we went to the small factory, where the magic happens. After the explanation of how the machines do their job and how long it takes to make the wines, we went to a cosy room with barrels and a big table to enjoy the wine and tapa tasting.
Six tapas were ready for us to eat alongside the wines. They were carefully chosen to complement the wine’s flavours.
I sipped to try every wine (red, white, and rosé), but I must admit I didn’t manage to drink them all, as I don’t usually drink, and I’m not a wine expert like others in my group.
On top of these six wines, they also gave us two more to try, one of which came straight from one of the barrels!
Overall, it was a fun day with lots of insight and wine. If you love wine, you won’t be disappointed by this experience.

Final thoughts about Tinggly

Are Tinggly experiences worth it? In my opinion, they are, and I love the concept of gifting experiences over material things.
I don’t know about you, but I also find it difficult to gift someone unique to family members on their birthdays or Christmas. I have bought all sorts of things, so by gifting them a gift box, they’ll have a memorable experience they can tell others about.
It’s also clear that Tinggly cares about people and the environment, which says a lot about the company.
From my two experiences with Tinggly, I have been able to book everything in no time, and the communication has been excellent.
So, answering your question: is it worth it? My answer is yes.
