The best shopping centres in Malaga
1. Vialia Centro Comercial

Vialia shopping centre is inside Maria Zambrano train station, only 20 minutes walk from the popular Larios Street.
It’s a great shopping centre to visit when waiting for your train or bus, as the coach station is next to it.
Inside Vialia, you’ll find plenty of shops – from famous clothing brands like Zara, Pull & Bear and Stradivarius to jewellery, miscellaneous things and candies.
In addition to this, there’s also a Mercadona, a food shop, and many restaurants where you can grab some food. You can eat anything from burgers at McDonald’s or Burger King to tacos at Taco Bell or sandwiches at 100 Montaditos.
On the second floor of this shopping centre, you’ll also find a cinema with the latest films.
The Vialia shopping centre has 1,500 parking slots available. You don’t need to pay for parking as long as you spend more than 6 euros at any Vialia shop and keep your ticket to validate it.

2. Centro Comercial Larios Centro

Larios Shopping Centre Malaga is a few minutes walk from Vialia, and it’s one of the oldest shopping centres in the city.
I remember coming to this shopping centre with my family when I was a kid! It was called Eroski among us locals.
This shopping centre has two floors with over 90 shops. Whether you want to buy clothes, video games, accessories or perfumes, you’ll find a shop for it.
Some of the shops that you can find in Larios Centro are Primark, Stradivarius, Zara, Foot Locker, Mango and Misako. On top of this, it also has an extensive food shopping centre on the bottom floor.
Last but not least, if you fancy something to eat, you have a few options: McDonald’s, Burger King, 100 Montaditos and UDON, an Asian food restaurant.

3. Centro Comercial Málaga Plaza

Despite its great location, this shopping centre isn’t very popular because there are better shopping centres in Malaga. It’s much smaller than others; however, you might want to check it out.
Malaga Plaza has a few clothing shops for women and children, burger places like Burger King and Goiko, a hairdresser salon and a gym.
It also provides plenty of parking, so there’s no need to worry about finding a spot.

4. Centro Comercial Plaza Mayor

If you’re after the best shopping centre in Malaga, head to Plaza Mayor. It’s just outside Malaga, a 17-minute drive from the city centre.
I’ve been shopping at Plaza Mayor for years and love the variety of shops, food and leisure they offer.
The shopping centre has expanded over the years, and now you can spend hours wandering through its different sections.
In the main section (the oldest), you’ll mostly find cafes, restaurants and bars. Choose between the classic fast food spots or have an American or Italian meal.
And if you love something sweet, I highly recommend the frozen yoghurt shop (called llaollao), where you can add delicious toppings.
The other two main sections are full of shops. You can buy clothes, home accessories, perfumes, shoes, and more from the Plaza Mayor shop section.
The newest section is the outlet called McArthurGlen Designer Outlet. You’ll find more expensive and exclusive brands here.
Are you going to Plaza Mayor by car? Well, there are many parking spots.
There’s outdoor and underground parking. However, it sometimes gets jam-packed, and you might need to look for a car parking space for a while, especially if you want to use the outdoor car park.
If you don’t drive, you can also visit Plaza Mayor Shopping Centre by taking the Cercanías RENFE train towards Fuengirola. It stops at Plaza Mayor.
📍 Address: C. Alfonso Ponce de León, 3, 2, 29004 Málaga, Spain
🕞 Opening times: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
Website: https://www.plazamayor.es/
5. Centro Comercial Rosaleda
La Rosaleda Shopping Centre is a few minutes walk from La Rosaleda, Malaga Football Club Stadium.
Inside this shopping centre, there’s a big Carrefour where you can buy anything from food to books and clothes. But that’s not all. You have more shops to look at in La Rosaleda.
In addition to the shops, there are a few food options too.
The shopping centre has indoor parking with several floors, so you don’t need to worry about finding a car park.
📍 Address: Av. Simón Bolívar, S/N, 29011 Málaga, Spain
🕞 Opening times: Monday to Saturday from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm
6. El Corte Inglés

El Corte Inglés is one of the most classic shopping centres in Malaga.
It has been there for a while, and it’s in a great spot – it’s kind of in between Larios and Vialia shopping centres and Paseo del Parque.
No matter what you want to buy, you’ll likely find it within Corte Inglés. It has over three floors, with clothing for men, women, and children, a supermarket, toys, perfumes, and more.
A few years ago, they also opened a rooftop restaurant where you can try delicious dishes while enjoying the views.
I love their small Christmas market outside this shopping centre during the festive season. They set up stalls, an ice rink and other fun attractions for the little ones.
El Corte Inglés has an indoor car park with plenty of spaces. Personally, I think it’s one of the best places to shop in Malaga city centre.
📍 Address: Av. de Andalucía, 4, 6, 29007 Málaga, Spain
🕞 Opening times: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
Website: https://www.elcorteingles.es/centroscomerciales/es/eci/centros/centro-comercial-malaga
7. El Corte Inglés Bahía Málaga

Another Corte Inglés shopping centre in Malaga is close to the Malaga Trade Fair and Congress Centre and the university, which aren’t very far from the city centre by car.
You’ll find similar items to those at Corte Inglés in the centre of Malaga: clothes, perfumes, home decor, toys, and a large supermarket.
If you want fewer crowds, choose this one over the one in Malaga city centre. I often find it less busy in this Corte Inglés.
El Corte Inglés Bahía Málaga is also home to two car parks. Underground and outdoor parking. The outdoor parking is usually busier.
📍 Address: Centro Comercial Bahía, C. Hamlet, 5, 29006 Málaga, Spain
🕞 Opening times: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
Website: https://www.elcorteingles.es/centroscomerciales/es/eci/centros/centro-comercial-bahia-de-malaga
8. Parque Comercial Malaga Nostrum

Parque Comercial Malaga Nostrum is on the outskirts of Malaga, not far from the airport.
It’s a good place to visit if you want to buy furniture and home decor, as there are a few stores that only sell those items.
There’s a supermarket called Samoy. It isn’t a regular supermarket because many restaurants and bars get their food there. It’s a little bit like a Costco, but smaller.
They also have a bakery where they sell some of the best palmeras in Malaga. Palmeras are big flat pastries in the shape of what looks like a heart. They are often covered in chocolate. They’re delicious; you must try them.
Malaga Nostrum’s main building doesn’t have many shops; it’s more of a leisure centre. You can find a cinema, an arcade and food options.
Next to it, there’s an outlet where you can find branded clothes at reasonable prices.
When it comes to car parks, the shopping mall includes outdoor parking.
📍 Address: C. Jaén, 1, 29004 Málaga, Spain
🕞 Opening times: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm
Website: https://pcmalaganostrum.com/
9. Carrefour Los Patios

Located on the west side of Malaga, Los Patios consists of a shopping mall whose main highlight is the Carrefour supermarket.
The supermarket has several sections, including electronics, clothes, home decor and food.
It’s a great place to do your shopping if you live in Malaga. The vegetable and fruit area is considerably big, and there’s also a fishmonger, butcher and charcuterie section.
Outside Carrefour, you’ll find more clothing shops, a pharmacy, a few bars and a McDonald’s with a playground.
The shopping centre offers free car parking. There are plenty of car spaces, but it sometimes gets busy, and you might need to drive through to find a free one.
📍 Address: Av. de Velázquez, 241, 29004 Málaga, Spain
🕞 Opening times: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm

Other shopping spots in Malaga
Apart from all the shopping centres in Malaga and its surroundings, you might also want to check out Malaga’s shopping streets and markets.
Here are other shopping spots in Malaga:
10. Muelle Uno

Muelle Uno is the name of the port in Malaga. Not only is the port a good place to have a drink or food with family or friends, but to treat yourself to clothes or something else.
If you want to buy something unique, Muelle Uno often hosts markets where locals sell traditional ceramics, jewellery and more.
I especially love the Sunday markets, where you can find a wider selection of items like crafts and clothes.
Muelle Uno has an underground paid car park. It’s very convenient, so you might arrive and find it full, especially on weekends.
11. Calle Larios

Larios Street is Malaga’s main street. It’s in the heart of the city, so you can always expect a lively atmosphere.
Shopping in Malaga centre is fantastic. Whether you want to buy clothes, have breakfast or brunch or have ice cream in the afternoon, you can do so in Calle Larios and connecting streets.
What I love about Larios is that there’s also something going on.
You’ll enjoy seeing the Christmas lights if you visit Malaga at Christmas. If you visit it at Easter, you’ll be amazed by the parades. And the list goes on.
12. Mercado de Atarazanas

Mercado de Atarazanas is your place if you’re a foodie like me.
This food market has the freshest ingredients – from meat and fish to vegetables and fruits. In addition to this, you can get some local raisins, nuts and spices, which make great souvenirs!
Even if you don’t want to buy anything, it’s a great place to visit and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere, and if you’re hungry, you can have delicious tapas in the market, too.
Another great way to explore the market is by taking a food tour. You’ll taste delicious dishes and learn a bit more about Malaga cuisine.
13. Malaga Flea Market
If you love everything quirky, you must check out Malaga Flea Market. It takes place in El Cortijo de Torres every Sunday from 8 am to 3 pm.
Malaga Flea Market has over 300 stalls, so you can find clothes, footwear, accessories, figurines, old clocks, and more.
On top of this, there’s also a section with local products, such as vegetables, fruits and nuts.
