LEVEL8 Grace Carry-on Luggage Review
As a frequent traveller, I have several suitcases, and if you also love travelling, you’ll completely understand the need for having more than one suitcase.
While I can pack most of my stuff in a 10-kg carry-on bag for a European city break, I need a bigger one for other occasions.
However, I was missing having a suitcase where I could safely store my laptop instead of having to carry a backpack for it, and that’s when I decided to order the LEVEL8 Grace Carry-on Luggage.
Although I don’t consider myself a digital nomad, I often work remotely, and this suitcase solves the problem I described above.
In this review, I will give you my honest opinion about the brand, the specific suitcase I’ve used, as well as the pros and cons, and other accessories you can get with your luggage.
In summary, I have loved using the LEVEL8 Grace Carry-on Luggage so far!

Disclaimer: I was gifted products from Level8 to write this review. However, all my opinions are my own, and you can easily determine whether this suitcase or brand is for you from my review, which includes the pros and cons.
About Level 8
The first question that comes to mind is, “Who is Level 8?” They are a luggage company established in 2008 in the US, so they have been around for a while, but if you haven’t heard about them, I get you. I didn’t know about LEVEL8 until I came across the brand on social media.
While it’s a US-based company, they operate in Canada and Europe, where I am based. I love that they don’t charge extra for shipping, and mine arrived very quickly, in about 3 working days.
There are plenty of suitcase companies out there, but LEVEL 8 is one that offers affordable pricing while providing a high-quality suitcase that will last you. Plus, if you have any problems with your order, there’s no time to worry about it; it comes with a lifetime warranty.
Luckily, I haven’t had to contact their customer support so far, but I’ve read it’s pretty good.
LEVEL8 Grace Carry on Luggage product specifications

Before picking this suitcase, I recommend reviewing the specifications. For example, if you’re a regular Ryanair customer, you might want to choose another LEVEL8 case that meets their size requirements and avoid paying extra fees.
These are the product specifications in a nutshell:
- Dimensions: 14.5 x 9.8 x 21.8 inches
- Weight: 9 pounds (4 kg)
- Capacity: 36 litres
- Unisex?: Yes
- Colours: Grey, black, blue, champagne and red
Who is the LEVEL8 Grace Carry-on Luggage best for?

While the suitcase can be for anyone, I personally think it’s best for remote workers or digital nomads, as it has a front laptop compartment that fits a 15” laptop. However, it can also hold items like an iPad, a tablet, or important documents, which I prefer to carry in my small handbag. There are also a few pockets where you can store the charger, mouse and other laptop accessories or documents.
This is actually my favourite feature of all, and the reason why I picked this specific LEVEL8 suitcase. Having used it a couple of times since I wrote this article, the built-in sleeve feels sturdy, and I love the 180-degree expansion. It’s super easy to grab or store my laptop while I’m on the go since it opens vertically too!
Design and style
Durability and sturdiness are important characteristics to look for in a suitcase, but design and style are important to me as well.
I often go for neutral colours, and I picked grey in this case as it goes with anything really. It looks smart and stylish, is very easy to clean, and grey is perfect for disguising scratches or minor damage to the suitcase, although I’ve been lucky and haven’t had any yet.
Other features of the LEVEL8 Grace Carry-On Luggage

- Split case design. This suitcase features a zipper divider and a lined compartment with ample storage. I find it easy to pack and love that everything feels locked and secured with the extra clips and dividers.
- Dual handles. One at the top and one at the side. They make my life so much easier when trying to lift my heavy suitcase and travelling solo.
- Metal corner protectors. As much as you take care of your luggage, bumps and unwanted scratches happen, but the metal corner protectors do help reduce the impact.
- 360-degree wheels. Perfect for seamless movement, whether you’re at the airport or walking the streets of your destination. Unlike other suitcases, the wheels aren’t very noisy,
- Built-in TSA zipper lock. The slide-mounted TSA combination zipper lock is a saviour! No need for external locks with tiny keys that you end up losing.
Pros and cons of the LEVEL8 Grace Carry-On Luggage
✅ Pros
- Spacious luggage (the external laptop compartment is a bonus).
- TSA-approved locks for security.
- Easy to clean.
- Protectors on the corners of the suitcase.
- It feels light and easy to move around.
- Free shipping to the USA, Canada and Europe.
- Lifetime warranty for peace of mind!
❌ Cons
- Size. While it’s great to have more storage, the size exceeds the limits for low-cost airlines such as Ryanair.
- I wish they had more colours for this specific suitcase. For example, a pastel pink or beige, but this is merely a preference.
Other accessories to go with your Level8 suitcase
In addition to luggage, the brand offers a wide range of accessories that complement its suitcases. They have two different sets of packing cubes, adjustable straps, a suitcase cover, luggage tags, a tote bag and a toiletry case.
I received my suitcase with a complimentary Level8 toiletry bag, and it has become such a great addition to my travel accessories. It seems like they read my mind, as I had wanted to get one of these toiletry bags for a long time.
I love how many compartments it has to put all sorts of things, from your skin routine products and make-up to your toothpaste and toothbrush. On top of that, it has a little hanger so you can put it on one of the hooks in the hotel bathroom.
As happens with other Level8 products, it’s built with eco-friendly materials to reduce the footprint on the earth. Other features of this bag include waterproof fabric and a small, visible water-resistant compartment that I’ve used for my toothbrush and toothpaste, which protects against spills inside the bag.
Video using the Level8 suitcase
Here is a short video of me travelling with the suitcase on my last trip to the north of England. I plan to use it on my next getaways around my hometown, Malaga, and its surroundings.
Conclusion
Is it worth it? Yes, this suitcase has become my favourite in my collection. Of course, I encourage you to look at their other designs, but this one is great for travelling with your laptop.
I feel it’s stylish and modern without compromising on space and sturdiness. Since writing this review, I have used it a couple of times. Besides the laptop compartment, which is perfect, I love that it doesn’t get as scratched as it does with other suitcases, and it’s easy to move around and clean, too. Maybe the colour I picked, grey, is more forgiving than the champagne. I can’t speak about the other colours.
As I plan some overseas holidays next year, I’m also looking forward to getting one of their 20kg suitcases and testing it. They have a wide variety of suitcases on their website. I have an eye on the Freeloop Carry-On Luggage 20”. I love its vintage style, and it looks very sturdy.
Since it’s still early days since I received my suitcase, I will keep this review updated with more information and photos of other trips.
Safe travels!
Cristina
